"Down force helps maintain weight on the tires when the driver lifts off the throttle, for greater control during cornering on the track. Off the track, the reduced lift at freeway speeds results in a more overall feel and more precise steering feedback."
The design of the all-new, 2014 Chevrolet Corvette leverages lessons learned from Corvette racing to reduce lift for a greater high-speed stability, in addition to directing cooling air to the brakes, transmission and differential for increased track capability.
